A Different Load, a Different Handling Requirement
Most people associate lifting trucks with pallets, drums, or industrial rolls. This SINOLIFT bespoke project started with something different: a speaker cabinet.
The requirement was not simply to transport it. The cabinet needed to be gripped around its middle, lifted clear of the floor, and rotated into position. That combination called for a handling solution designed around the speaker itself.
A Different Load, a Different Handling Requirement
The project specified a 100 kg rated capacity and a 400–650 mm clamp opening range. The gripping arrangement needed self-adapting flat clamping plates, rather than a conventional fork or platform configuration.
The lifting requirement was defined at the bottom of the load: with the speaker cabinet held around its middle, its base needed to reach at least 1,100 mm above the floor after lifting. This is a load-clearance requirement in the specified lifting position, not a mast height or rotation-centre height.
The specification also called for 360° rotation in either direction and a counterbalanced chassis with short support legs. Lifting, gripping, rotation, and chassis design therefore had to be considered together.
Purpose-Built for Gripping, Lifting and Turning
SINOLIFT configured a semi-electric speaker clamping truck to bring these requirements together. The truck is moved manually by pushing or pulling, while lifting, clamping, and rotation are electrically powered.
The self-adapting flat clamping plates open from 400 to 650 mm and grip the speaker cabinet at its middle. The 100 kg rated capacity and short-leg counterbalanced layout form the basis of this application-specific configuration.
With 360° powered rotation to the left or right, the clamping assembly allows the speaker's orientation to be adjusted as part of the handling process. A 12 V / 85 Ah maintenance-free lead-acid battery is fitted as standard to supply the powered functions.
A Familiar Machine with an Unconventional Purpose
What makes this case distinctive is the load it was built to handle. Instead of treating a speaker cabinet as just another item to move, the design addresses where it should be gripped, how high its base needs to be lifted, and how it should be turned.
It is a practical example of SINOLIFT's approach to bespoke material handling: start with the application, then bring the appropriate functions together in one machine. Here, an unusual load led to a purpose-built combination of manual travel and powered clamping, lifting, and rotation.
