Reaching Forward, Stacking Higher: CQDX20 with a 4.8 m Lift Height
Lifting a pallet to the right height is only part of a stacking task. The forks also need to reach the pickup or storage position, while the truck’s chassis and support legs remain within the available working space. When access is restricted, the way the forks approach the load becomes an important part of equipment selection.
The configuration featured here is the SINOLIFT CQDX20 Pedestrian Electric Scissor Reach Stacker with a 4.8 m lift height. It brings electric travel and lifting together with a forward-reaching fork assembly, addressing both vertical lifting and horizontal positioning in one truck.
When Lifting Height Is Only Part of the Requirement
In pallet handling, the load position does not always line up conveniently with the position the truck can occupy. Racking, pallet dimensions, surrounding goods, and the space available for the support legs can all affect how closely the chassis can approach.
For this type of application, the handling requirement extends beyond lifting. The forks also need to reach the intended placement position, with suitable clearance around the pallet and the surrounding structure.
A suitable solution therefore needs to account for both lifting height and forward access. Load weight, load centre, aisle dimensions, and the geometry of the pickup and storage points all contribute to the final configuration.
Forward Reach Through a Scissor Mechanism
The CQDX20 uses a scissor reach mechanism to move the fork assembly forward relative to the chassis. This provides an additional positioning movement when approaching a pallet or aligning with a storage location.
The photographs show this arrangement from several angles: the scissor linkage sits between the mast and fork carriage, extending the forks ahead of the truck. The fork carriage can move forward and retract while the chassis remains in its working position.
The featured configuration has a 4,800 mm maximum lift height, while the CQDX20 has a 2,000 kg rated capacity.
The permissible load at a particular lift height, load centre, and reach position must follow the truck’s capacity chart.
Electric travel and lifting support the operator throughout the handling process. A Curtis AC drive system provides progressive travel control, while the ergonomic control handle keeps operating functions accessible from the pedestrian operating position.
The reinforced mast, lifting chains, and hydraulic components support the lifting assembly. Protective mesh, an emergency reverse button, and a warning beacon are among the safety features specified for the CQDX series.
Bringing Height and Forward Access Together
The practical value of this configuration lies in the relationship between the truck and the load. The chassis establishes the working position, while the scissor mechanism gives the forks their own forward reach.
This added movement can help with pallet placement where the storage position requires access beyond the truck’s immediate footprint. Combined with the 4.8 m lift height, it provides a configuration to consider for warehouse storage and other pallet-handling applications involving elevated positions.
For SINOLIFT, selecting a stacker starts with understanding how the pallet needs to move—from the first approach to its final placement. Reviewing pallet dimensions, aisle space, and the required reach together helps match the equipment to the actual task.
